Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Water Mitigation Xactimate Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive water damage mitigation estimates using Xactimate software. This role requires a strong understanding of water mitigation processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including insurance adjusters, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Estimate Preparation: Utilize Xactimate software to prepare detailed estimates specifically for water damage mitigation projects, including emergency response, water extraction, drying, and restoration.
Data Collection: Conduct thorough site inspections to gather necessary information for accurate estimates, including moisture readings, measurements, photographs, and detailed documentation of water damage.
Documentation: Compile and maintain detailed records of estimates, including notes, photos, moisture readings, and supporting documentation for each project.
Collaboration: Work closely with water mitigation technicians, insurance adjusters, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure all estimates meet required standards and guidelines.
Quality Control: Review estimates for accuracy and completeness, ensuring they reflect current pricing, industry standards, and insurance company requirements.
Client Communication: Provide clear and concise communication with clients regarding the scope of work, cost estimates, and project timelines, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Updates and Revisions: Revise estimates as necessary based on feedback from adjusters, contractors, and clients, ensuring all changes are documented and approved.
Training and Development: Stay updated on Xactimate software updates, industry best practices, and emerging trends in water mitigation and restoration.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience using Xactimate software in an insurance, water mitigation, or restoration environment.
Certification: Xactimate certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) is highly preferred. IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) is also a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xactimate software; strong computer skills including MS Office Suite.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of water mitigation processes, materials, and terminology; familiarity with insurance claim processes and procedures.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyze information, and develop solutions effectively.
Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to conduct site inspections, which may include accessing water-damaged areas, climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and exposure to various weather conditions.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
